My most recent trip to the Grand Canyon was specifically to chase storms around the canyon. This time of year is perfect for storms due (it IS the monsoon season after all). Every day about 1PM, storms start cropping up around the area and continue to form throughout the afternoon and evening. These storms produce a lot of rain and lightning...and knowing how to 'read' the storms makes it a bit easier to get out ahead of them to try to capture a photograph of lightning. This image is a capture of one of those storms right after sunset.
